On Thursday, a doctor in the American city of Boston suffered a severe allergy after receiving Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine, 'New York Times' reported, according to Reuters.

Dr. Hussein Sadrzadeh, the geriatric oncology fellow at Boston Medical Center, said that he suffered severe allergies immediately after he received the vaccination, feeling dizzy with rapid heartbeats.

This is the first severe reaction that has been publicly linked to the Moderna vaccine.

Boston Medical Center spokesman David Kibbe said, " Dr.Sadrzadeh was taken to the Emergency Department, evaluated, treated, observed and discharged. He is doing well today.”

It is worth mentioning that, last week, a U.S. Food and Drug Administration official said that the FDA is investigating around five allergic reactions that occurred after people were administered Pfizer Inc and BioNTech SE’s COVID-19 vaccine in the US, according to Reuters.
