Egyptian-Hungarian Business Forum kicks off

Eng. Amr Nassar, Minister of Industry and Trade stated that there are big opportunities to bolster economic cooperation between Egypt and Hungary, especially in industrial sectors.

He pointed out the importance of encouraging the business circles in the two countries to benefit from the chances available such as entering the local markets either in Africa or Europe.

It is worth to mention that Egypt is a major access to markets in the Middle East and North Africa.

On the other hand, Hungary is the access to  markets of 27 member states of the European Union ( EU).

Eng. Amr Nassar, Minister  of Industry and Trade, Dr Sahar Nasr, Investment and International Cooperation, Hesham Tawfiq, Minister of State Sector and Gen. Kamel Al Wizir, Minister of Transport, attended opening the Egyptian-Hungarian Business Forum on Thursday.

Also Gen. Avdel Monem Al Tarrass, Chairman of the Arab Organization  for  Industrialization ( AOI), Hungary Ambassador to Egypt, Levente Magyar, Minister of State for Parliamentarian Affairs at Hungarian Foreign Minister appeared in that opening of the forum along a host of business people in both Egypt and Hungary.

Eng. Nassar said that the Egyptian –Hungarian Business Forum is a main platform to review opportunities of  cooperation and interpret all initiatives to  projects serving the national economies.

He stressed that the forum leads to bolster partnerships between Egypt and Hungary in fields of trade, investment and industry.

He affirmed that the private sector has a pivotal role in  achieving development,  creating jobs and accumulating added value to the national economy.

The minister indicated that his ministry is keen on supporting the Hungarians to benefit from available opportunities in the  Egyptian markets.

He revealed that Egypt has launched her strategy for sustainable development ( known as  Egypt Vision 2030) to attain targets of the whole development.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched an ambitious plan to sustain the industrial development within the next year.

That plan goes with the wider strategy of the state to increase competitiveness of some industrial sectors in Egypt.

He explained that the ministry has taken a number of steps to bolster the industrial cooperation via transferring technology from regional and international partners.

Egypt prepares to establish more industrial complexes in various governorates.

Nassar calls for more economic cooperation between Egypt and Hungary over the coming period.

He urges business people to launch joint projects achieve the common interests of the two states.

He added that Egypt’s exports to Hungary hit $ 140 million last year.
