Ambassador Nabila Makram,  State Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs ( SMIEEA) does well in her career as minister.

She was keen to monitor affairs of the Egyptian immigrants and to get touch with the most famous scholars, immigrant businessmen, and even a simple worker when he is exposed to a crisis in his work or subjected to insulting. The minister proves how different she performs in office.

She succeeded in bringing the Egyptians abroad, under the banner of "Egypt" Before she took the helm, the SMIEEA was a ministry without features, and no ineffectiveness, and the Egyptian communities abroad did not feel that the ministry had an active role in their lives.

Makram came with all the attributes of the ambitious and intelligent leadership that she has, not only with the purity and ambition, so she won the love and respect of everyone home and abroad.

She works hard to connect the immigrants with their motherland.

Makram did not adopt the policy of reaction in her policy, but rather she was the originator of the initiatives seeking in every direction to connect Egyptians abroad with their homeland, but also to benefit from their experiences and efforts in an actual and practical manner and not just wishes in words and news from here and there. She brought the most famous Egyptian experts and scholars all over the world in a conference titled "Egypt Can" as her first initiative.

These started 6 years ago, to solve Egypt's intractable crises in all fields of education and water, investment, and the last of which was Egypt was able to manufacture that was held under the conditions of Corona Online

And (Let us Support Each Other) initiative that she launched in order to help Egyptians stranded in many countries after the flight ban as a result of the Corona pandemic.

She succeeded this time in linking Egyptians with each other abroad who is able to help others in the crisis, and indeed they were at their good expectations and helped Egyptian workers stranded in the airports of countries or in transit and do not have the expenses of residence and return, as happened with the Egyptian workers in their crisis with Kuwait in the first and second waves of the pandemic.

The minister is still traveling with her countrymen here and there, and she is launching the (Survival Boats) initiative to raise awareness against the dangers of illegal immigration.

She works to reduce the horrific deaths of young people and to eradicate this problem and save the value and dignity of the Egyptian abroad.

The Arabic language is the most important feature of the country's national identity, so the minister thought about the emerging generations of Egyptians abroad in all countries of the world with its languages, customs and culture. She feared the obliteration of the identity of the second and third generation of children and grandchildren, so she launched the initiative known as (Speak Arabic) in which she communicates personally with the children through video and live broadcast and invitees them to camps to visit their country's tourist, archaeological and cultural landmarks.

Even students studying abroad who were banned from flying and the pandemic during their vacations in Egypt did not leave them to waste their time in vain. Rather, the minister seized an opportunity and toured all of Egypt with them to cultivate true belonging within them.

And because they felt the great efforts of an exceptional minister, the heads of the Egyptian communities abroad chose her as the person of the year 2020. They called her the "steel woman" which brought about a great change that made them feel the state's keenness to communicate with them and take care of them.
