Micale announced that he was released from his contract by the Egyptian Football Association as the head coach for the U-20 national football team.
He said in a statement sent to sports reporters in Egypt that the EFA informed Micale of his release from the contract that lasts until the 2028 LA Games.
Micale said in the statement that EFA asked him to decrease his salary and he accepted the offer to make the contract to 2025.
He also thanked players, and EFA for their cooperation in the last two years and a half.
He added that he had the honor to lead the Egyptians to the semi-final of the 2024 Olympic Games, and the U-20 team to qualify for the U-20 AFCON.
He also thanked the Egyptian people for their support.
