Mena Massoud Releases First Ever Book “Evolving Vegan”

Mena Massoud is an Egyptian- Candian actor who is widely known for playing Aladdin in the Disney live-action adaptation of the 1992 animated musical fantasy film “Aladdin”, as well as playing the main role of Ethan Hart in the Hulu original series “Reprisal”.

But the 29-year-old is not just a talented actor, he is also the founder of the EDA Foundation which supports ethnically perse artists in Canada and Evolving Vegan a company that aims to introduce people to plant-based living and help them evolve toward that lifestyle at their own pace.

At Evolving Vegan, they are encouraging everyone to evolve to vegan because in a world were carbon emission, water levels and natural disasters are increasing, anything humans can do as a species for the well-being of the planet is crucial. The company supports people of all ages, cultures and eating habits to eat and practice plant-based living one step at a time even if just by cutting out meat once a week, not wearing animal skin or just using plant-based milks. In Evolving Vegan, everyone is welcome and no judgment is ever passed.

When Massoud founded the company his end goal was to create a book to document his travels, discoveries and way of life. And finally, this book came to life. The “Evolving Vegan” book features North America’s best plant-based establishments, restauranteurs and chefs to show people that eating plant-based is in fact accessible and possible in North America.

The book celebrates the cities visited with their different cultures and Massoud’s personal journey towards plant-based living as well as the photos and recipes inspired by some of the incredible people from around North America.
