The duo Egypt's Mayar Sherif and Australian Astra Sharma won 2nd place after losing the Doubles-final of the Charleston US Open tennis tournament to Polish duo Katarzyna Kawa and her teammate Magdalena Fręch.
Sherif and Sharma were defeated by the Polish double by two sets to one.
The double Sherif and Sharma, led the first set (6-4), taking the match's lead with 1-0 score.
The Polish double then dominated in the second set by a score of (6-4) which led the match to a 1-1 draw.
This resulted in resorting to a decisive group, which witnessed a clear advantage for the Polish couple from the start to settle it in their favor with a score of (10-2), thus winning the match with the result of two groups to one group.
It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian star Sherif had qualified for the singles final of the Charleston Open, and will face the Polish Katarzyna Kawa in the final, scheduled on Sunday.
