Argentinian football legend Diego Armando Maradona's nephew revealed the last words of the former Napoli player a few hours before his death.

Maradona, 60, died on Wednesday evening after suffering a heart attack, a few days after successfully undergoing surgery for a subdural hematoma, more commonly known as a blood clot on the brain.

Maradona's nephew confirmed that the Argentinian legend told him before his death that he did not feel well and that his condition was bad.

On Wednesday morning, Maradona had come down for breakfast looking pale and complaining that he felt cold, according to the DailyMail.

'Me siento mal,' he told his nephew - 'I feel sick' - before returning to bed in the Buenos Aires mansion.

Later at noon a nurse discovered Maradona and called ambulance for help but he was dead before paramedics arrived.

Paramedics made an attempt to revive him after they arrived at his rented house, but sadly they did not succeed.

Argentinian president Alberto Fernandez has declared 3 days of mourning for the legend's death.
