Manasterly Palace to Host French Cultural Week

Manasterly Palace in Cairo is preparing to receive the French Culture Week from 9 to 14 March, organized by the French Institute and embassy.

The program includes concerts, artistic performances, literary encounters and artistic lectures, beginning on Monday, March 9th, starting at 8:00 pm.

Carmen

In addition, the week will feature recorded performance of the Opera Carmen composed by Henry Miyak and Ludovic Alexis directed by Dimitri Cherniakov and the Pablo Iraskasado Orchestra.

The famous story in the French language presents a modern civilization, away from the fiery enthusiastic atmosphere and usual style of Spain.

On Tuesday, March 10, a recording of the play "Serrano de Bergerac", an old French show revived in 2007, is considered to be one of the operas which brings the satirical sense, tragedy and romance together.

On Wednesday, March 11, two dialogues will be held with two French writers- one of them is Raphael Ferrier, who writes stories, novels and poems for children.

Miles de Cranjal

She holds concerts drawn from her works that she participates in, and organizes writing workshops for children in the libraries, libraries and public events; her work will be discussed and followed up with signatures by attendees.

Meanwhile, Miles de Cranjal is considered one of the most important French writers today; she won many important awards and translated her work into nearly 20 languages.

Among her most famous works are "Corniche Kennedy" 2008 and "Back of a Bridge" 2010 and "Eastern Curve" 2012, and in 2014 her novel "Healing the Living" won ten awards were turned into a movie and a play.

Franche Cancan

On Thursday, March 12, Maestro Hisham Gabr will give a lecture named "Beethoven and the French Revolution"; he will talk about the heroic role of the Middle Eastern artist and the third symphony story given to Napoleon Bonaparte.

On Saturday, March 14th, the French week ends in the Palace, with the presentation of a classic French movie entitled "Franche Cancan" directed by Jean Renoir, starring: Jean Japan, Francoise Arnault and starring Edith Piaf, which is the original version of the famous American movie"Moulin Rouge" .
