Ten-man Man City players smashed Aston Villa in the tenth Premier League round with three unanswered goals on Saturday.

Raheem Sterling had put his side ahead only after 20 seconds of the second half when Jesus headed on Ederson’s long ball towards Sterling, who slid the ball under Heaton.

Nine minutes later, Sterling came close to double his side's lead when he made use of Engels' wrong pass as he delivered an excellent pass to Jesus, putting him on one-on-one position, but his shot bounced up on the goalline and defender Mings improvised brilliantly to knee the ball over the bar.

De Bruyne doubled his side lead in the 67th minute as his cross past Aston Villa's defenders and keeper, hitting the net.

Three minutes later, Ilkay Gundogan added the third, sealing the victory when he unleashed a right-foot shot that went through a posse of bodies and into the net. The city's goalkeeper came into action in the 86th minute as his save denied Trezeguet's lovely shot.

Man City have to complete the game with only ten players when Fernandinho was sent off for a second yellow card in the 87th minute.
