Mohamed el-Baz, Presenter of “90 Minutes” program broadcast on El Mehwar TV channel, released a voice recording of Egypt's Immigration and Expatriate Affairs Minister Nabila Makram commenting on The Muslim Brotherhood's claims that she threatened to “chop” critics of Egypt.

In a voice recording, Makram said that she participated in a very important patriotic moment through raising the Egyptian flag outside Ontario parliament building in Canada, after the Parliament declared July as the month of Egyptian civilization and culture.

The minister added that she was keen to support the Egyptian community efforts in Canada, pointing out that she was shocked and surprised when one of the websites published a report claiming that she threatened the Egyptian community abroad that the critics of Egypt should be “chopped”.

“The Egyptian state does not threaten its people; instead, the state supports and responds to inquiries,” Makram confirmed.

She explained:” I was participating in one of the meetings with the Egyptian community abroad, during this meeting, I said that the Egyptian expatriates do not tolerate a single negative word about their country, What do they do to such a person?.. I heard one of the voices say, ‘We cut off the neck of anyone who speaks this way about Egypt! And I responded to him, ‘We will slice him up.”

Meanwhile, Makram expressed her rejection of this deliberate "fabrication and manipulation" of her words.
