Dr. Akram El Adawy, gynecologist and treating doctor of Angham, has given a new update on her health after her sudden health scare.
In a phone-in with the "MBC 4" TV Channel, he stressed that she is currently in good health and can leave the hospital.
El Adawy added that Angham was suffering from some disorders that led to abdominal pain and bleeding.
He noted that she had undergone medical tests and ultrasounds which showed the presence of tumors in her reproductive system.
The surgeon noted that she had undergone a hysterectomy to remove the uterus.
Hysterectomy is the main operation for womb cancer is surgery to remove the womb and cervix.
El Adawy noted that the operation was done perfectly and there were no complications.
He continued: “Some complications occurred after 3 or 4 days as a result of the stress and the repeated operations she underwent in the abdomen,".
"All claims being circulated about her having cancerous tumors is false news, especially since we have conducted tests and made sure of that."
On November 24, the acclaimed singer was hospitalized following a sudden health scare, forcing her to postpone gigs.
