Mahgoub Performs Beside Spanish Glissando in Jazz Festival

Jazz Tales festival launched its third edition by blending a fusion of Egyptian and Spanish music at the American University's Ewart memorial hall.

Singer Nesma Mahgoub took to the stage along with Spanish Glissando Big Band, performing a fusion of jazz music, that inflamed the frozen hearts of the audience with the tunes of the bass guitar, the trumpet and the beats of the drum kits.

Mahgoub performed her most popular songs, including "Wujuh" Faces, "Mafesh Hekayet Hob Sodfa" There is no love story of coincidence, and Surprised "Mestagraba".

The audience witnessed a surprise musical duet between the Egyptian singer and the Spanish band, presenting jazz music in a completely distinctive tone.

Jazz, which is one of the most influential musical genres, is enjoyed by exceptional devotees, usually noticed for their curly hair, combining classic formal dress code with free and fun expressions including vibrant and flashy colors such as purple or green.

This year's annual festival offered a genuine combination of melodies through providing international workshops, that created a state of unification between different cultures under the jazz swing.

The event was the opening of 9 other scheduled concerts, which will take place at several venues, including the Library of Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Tahrir Cultural Centre, hosting jazz pioneers from several countries, including American Chad Lefkowitz-Brown and German pianist Monika Herzig, Dutch band Under the Surface, and Cairo Big Band as well as singer Youssra El-Hawary.

It is worth mentioning that these concerts are open to the public and free of charge.
