Mahfouz's Daughter Dedicates Father's Coat to Culture Min.

Umm Kulthum Naguib Mahfouz confirmed her happiness and pride with the inauguration of her father's museum. As a result, she decided to dedicate the coat of her father to the Ministry of Culture to be part of the museum's collection.

Naguib Mahfouz Museum narrates his story and achievement in attracting the attention of the world to the art of the modern Egyptian novel.

It is worthy of note that the works of the museum and creativity center of Naguib Mahfouz started in 2016.

The museum consists of two floors, the first includes halls for seminars, audiovisual library, public library, a library of critical research includes the most important researches and studies about the work of Mahfouz.

The second floor includes a collection of his personal belongings, with some papers bearing his handwriting, as well as certificates and medals obtained by the late writer.

The floor also houses a literature hall that includes all the works of Naguib Mahfouz with its old and modern prints, his translated works, in addition to several halls carrying the names of the Alley - Lamentations - Dreams of departure- Echo of biography – The inspiration of Mahfouz.
