On Wednesday, Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly inaugurated the country’s first Sports Expo Egypt 2023, which is being held from 22 to 24 February at Al-Manara International Convention Center in New Cairo.
The exhibition offers a wide array of immersive activations that will re-establish the value of practicing sports and highlight its importance for physical and psychological well-being.
It will host a plethora of key players in the sports industry, creating an unparalleled opportunity for sports companies and establishments to form trade and investment agreements and get acquainted with the latest international trends and innovations in sports technology.
The three-day event is being held under the sponsorship of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi as part of the “Break your Record” initiative.
The exhibition will also introduce international products, making their debut in the region, in addition to exclusive offers on sports equipment for professional athletes and sports enthusiasts across the spectrum of age groups, lifestyles, and abilities.
Egypt is keen on modernizing the sports infrastructure, Madbouly said during the opening, stressing that the Expo would work to benefit Egypt’s citizens as well as allow the country to host major world championships of various sports.
He added that Egypt wishes to take advantage of the global sports scene to attract investors.
This comes in the context of several countries’ increasing reliance on the sports industry to drive their economic development, the prime minister confirmed.
Egypt gives special attention to the sports sector as part of efforts to improve Egyptians’ health and increase their cultural and scientific awareness, he affirmed.
