Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met on Sunday with Tarek Amer, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to discuss mechanisms and ways to increase foreign exchange reserves, by supporting its various sources and expanding Egyptian exports, as well as supporting the private sector, as a major participant in development projects.
Madbouly also reviewed joint work files with the central bank governor, within the framework of continuous coordination between the two parties, with regard to monetary and financial policies, according to a cabinet statement.
The Prime Minister showed his appreciation to the efforts exerted by the central bank officials to support the national economy in light of the successive economic crises that the world is witnessing.
The meeting also witnessed a review of the mechanisms for dealing with the inflationary wave that the global markets are currently witnessing due to the challenges of supply chains.
