CAIRO, Jan. 21 (SEE) - Egypt's Prime Minister

Moustafa Madbouli headed to Switzerland where he will take part in the World

Economic Forum (WEF) due to be held between Jan. 22-25.

The WEF is best known for its annual meeting at

the end of January in Davos, a mountain resort in Graubunden, in the eastern

Alps region of Switzerland.

The Davos meeting is used to bringing together hundreds

of top business leaders, international political leaders, economists,

celebrities and journalists for up to four days to discuss the most pressing

issues facing the world.

The WEF was founded in 1971 by Klaus Schwab, a

German-born business professor at the University of Geneva under the name of the

"European Management Forum."

In 1987, the name was changed to the World

Economic Forum and it sought to broaden its vision to include providing a

platform for resolving international conflicts.
