On Friday, Kylian Mbappe confirmed his exit from Parc Des Princes after seven years, among the reports about Mbappe's long-waited move to Real Madrid.
Although Mbappe didn't confirm this anticipated move, French President Emmanuel Macron has all-but confirmed Kylian Mbappe's transfer to Real Madrid after he begged them to allow him to play in the Paris Olympic Games 2024.
The French President seems disappointed as the country's top sports star and the man who brough FIFA World Cup to the Blues in 2018 could miss participating at the Olympic Games in his home country.
Macron said in a video that posted on X. Macron urged Real Madrid to allow Mbappe to play in Olympics, which would affect his pre-season preparations with his new club.
Real Marid previously told the French Football Federation that they will not allow any of their players to represent the nation at the tournament.
Macron said: "I am counting on Real Madrid to release Kylian for the Olympic games so that he can come and play with the French team.”
Speaking earlier this week, Macron said similar thoughts, as he said: "Will Mbappe play with France at the Olympics? I hope.
"In any, case I have put the maximum pressure on his so-called future club."
