French President Emmanuel Macron was quickly rushed out of one of the theaters in Paris, after protesters nearly broke into the hall where he and his wife, Brigitte, were watching a theatrical performance.

For more than 40 days now, Paris has been witnessing continuous strikes aimed at canceling the French government's plans to reform the country's pension system.

According to "Sky News", dozens of demonstrators gathered at the theater " Les Bouffes du Nord" when the police tried, hopelessly, to prevent them from entering, but some of them actually managed to storm the building, where loud chants repeating: "Macron .. go away" .. and "We are here", could be heard.

According to press reports, a black car picked up the French President, then quickly drove away, amid a barrage of whistles. But Macron later returned to the theater, to continue watching the show, apparently things got calm.

On the other hand, the Louvre Museum in Paris reopened its doors this morning, after it closed them yesterday as dozens of demonstrators blocked the entrance to the museum to denounce the French government's plans.

Weeks of strikes and protests have disrupted public transportation, disrupted schools, hospitals, the judiciary, and even opera houses and the Eiffel Tower.

Some museum employees were among the demonstrators who chanted: "Mona Lisa in on strike, Leonardo is on strike."

It is the first time since railway strikes and protests against the pension overhaul began on 5 December that the Louvre and its Leonardo da Vinci exhibit were fully shut down.
