Macron Calls for Ceasefire and Dialogue in Jerusalem

On Thursday, French President Emmanuel Macron called for an immediate ceasefire and dialogue.

"The spiral of violence in the Middle East must stop. I strongly call for a ceasefire and for dialogue. I call for calm and peace." Macron tweeted on Twitter.

The French president rewrote the message in a new tweet written in Arabic and Hebrew language.

The Israel-Palestine conflict has flared up again with the two sides launching air attacks at each other. The most recent government figures show that at least 109 people, including 29 children, have been killed in airstrikes in the last four days, while 7 Israelis died.

Furthermore, reports of violent confrontations between Jewish Israelis and Palestinian citizens of Israel in several cities of Israel have also surfaced.
