Maait: State Employees to Receive Wages Ahead of Schedule

Finance Minister Mohamed Maait announced on Wednesday that the salaries of state employees for July, August and September will be disbursed earlier this fiscal year before the the feast "Eid al-Adha".

Maait explained that a new incentive pay will include in the salary- a regular bonus for civil servants who are subject to the Civil Service Law and another bonus for those who are not subject to the law, as well as the additional incentive for state employees.

He explained that salaries will be disbursed  in five different days during these months and each institution or establishment will be informed of the payment day, adding that workers can receive their salaries at the beginning of the payment period on the specified date.

This schedule will help avoid congestion at ATMs, in line with the country's precautionary measures to tackle the pandemic.
