Liverpool resumed their illustrious Performance in the Premier League by winning their sixth consecutive victory over Chelsea with two unanswered goals. This is the 15th successive Premier League victory for the Reds.

The Reds started the game so fiercely as early as after only fourteen minutes when Mohamed Salah dragged his studs over the ball to set it up to Alexander-Arnold, who fired a right-foot shot across Chelsea's keeper Kepa into the far corner.

Firmino doubled his side's lead in the 30th minute when Robertson made an excellent cross to the Brazilian international, whose header nodded the ball into the Blues net from six yards.

N’Golo Kante's spectacular goal revived the Blues hops in the game as he turned away from Fabinho, firing a right-foot shot, which beat Adrian, into the top corner.

Four minutes before Firmino's stunner, the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) disallowed Azpilicueta's goal to keep the result 1-0 for the Reds.

Abraham wasted a great opportunity, which was so enough to equalize the scoring, when he received an excellent pass from Christensen, putting him through one-on-one position, but Adrian made a fine save to the ball.

It is worth mentioning that the Reds defeated the Blues for the second time this season as they played each other before in the the UEFA Super Cup in Istanbul, where Liverpool beat Chelsea  5-4 on penalties.
