ESPN has reported that Liverpool are concerned over Mohamed Salah's recent injury.

Salah’s injury began when he suffered a serious one and was replaced by Adam Lallana during the Reds’ 2-1 victory over Leicester City after he was hacked down by Hamza Choudhury.

His injury returned once again during Liverpool’s 2-1 hard-fought victory over Tottenham as he was replaced by Joe Gomez in the 85th minute of the game.

Liverpool expressed a major concern, especially when the iconic Egyptian star took another knock during the Reds 3-1 Premier League victory over Man City on Sunday at Anfield.

"The Premier League league leaders wanted the 27-year-old to remain on Merseyside and undertake a scan on the problem, which has been carefully managed by Liverpool, but aggravated after a fair but firm challenge from Fernandinho at Anfield on Sunday," ESPN reported.

The American channel added that the Reds would wait on needles and pins the scan's result. "Liverpool now face a nervy wait on feedback from the scan," the channel explained.

It worth mentioning that Liverpool further cemented their Premier League supremacy to eight points on Sunday as they defeated the defending champions Manchester City 3-1, thanks to the combined efforts of Fabinho, Salah and Sadio Mane.
