On Monday, the High Council of State (HCS) said that the ceasefire agreement will enable the return of flights between East and West, lift force majeure from oil ports and end the institutional pision.

In a statement, the HCS assured that this agreement does not mean implicit recognition of what it described as "the aggressor force," and will not affect the agreements concluded by the Government of National Accord (GNA) with Turkey.

The statement questioned the intentions of the Libyan army and its ability to abide by the terms of this agreement, especially with regard to removing the foreign fighters.

"This agreement does not drop the crimes committed by the army forces against the capital city," the statement said.

The statement concluded by saying, "We want guarantees that the displaced will return without being attacked."

On Friday, participants of Libya’s 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC) signed a ceasefire agreement, which entered into force immediately upon signing.

Libyan rivals agreed to reopen land and air routes, as well as maintain the current state of calm on the front lines, and to avoid further military escalation. They have agreed that all foreign forces would leave within 90 days of the ceasefire agreement. This would be supervised by the UN.
