Upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces opened an air bridge to provide urgent aid to Lebanon.

Thus, two Egyptian military transport planes landed in Rafic Hariri International Airport in Lebanon. This is the eighth airlift flight that aims to provide support to the Lebanese people so as to face the repercussions of the Beirut port explosion.

The two military planes were loaded with large quantities of aid, medicines, and medical supplies. They were prepared with the participation of Al-Azhar, the Coptic Orthodox Church, and the Egyptian Cure Bank.

Lebanese officials praised the Egyptian government and people’s active role in helping the Lebanese people deal with the effects of the blast. They stressed that the efforts made by Egypt in this regard reflect the close historical ties between the two peoples.

These efforts also show that Egypt plays an active role regionally and internationally and extends a helping hand to Lebanon and all crisis-stricken countries.Lebanon: Egypt Sends 7th Batch of Aid
