Lebanon caretaker Labor Minister Lamia Douaihy announced, on her official Twitter page, that she contracted the novel Coronavirus.
The Lebanese minister tweeted: I conducted a PCR test and the result was positive. I wish recovery for those infected with the virus, please take care, and adhere to the preventive measures.”
On Friday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the registration of 5,440 new cases of the emerging coronavirus, during the past twenty-four hours.
The Lebanese Health Ministry stated, in its daily report, that the total number of cases increased to 210,139.
The Ministry also recorded 17 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 1570.
