Lebanese Caretaker FM Minister Arrives in Cairo

On Sunday, Lebanese caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs (FM) Charbel Wehbe arrived in Egypt to take part in the Arab League emergency meeting, scheduled for tomorrow.

During his visit, Wehbe will meet his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between both countries.

Arab league extraordinary meeting will tackle the latest developments in the region which requires a comprehensive Arab stance to maintain Arab national security, serves joint Arab interests, and bolster Arab solidarity.

They will also reiterate principles related to the Palestinian cause.

Last Wednesday, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received  Lebanon’s Prime Minister-designate Saad Al-Hariri in the presence of the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry and the Director of the General Intelligence Service.

Sisi affirmed Egypt’s keenness to primarily preserve the Lebanese state’s capabilities and to extricate Lebanon from the situation it is currently suffering from.
