Just Mercy is a 2019 American legal drama film that was based on the memoir of "Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption", written by Bryan Stevenson.
The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2019.
The plot set in 1987. It revolves around a young lawyer Bryan Stevenson and his history-making battle for justice as he defends Walter McMillian, who was who had been wrongly convicted and sentenced to death for murdering an 18-year-old girl.
Rotten Tomatoes, one of the most trusted measurements of quality for Movies & TV, described the movie as a “Just Mercy dramatizes a real-life injustice with solid performances, a steady directorial hand, and enough urgency to overcome a certain degree of earnest advocacy.”
It scored 83% from Rotten Tomatoes, 6.8/10 from IMDb, 68% from Metacritic, while 92% of Google users liked the movie.
