Lama Gebreil Selected as Ambassador for 'Benesmaa’ Baa’d' Initiative

Lama Gebreil, an Egyptian TV presenter, has been selected as the ambassador for “Benesmaa’ Baa’d”  (We Hear Each Other) initiative aiming to support the hearing impaired women as well as respecting others.

The head of the board of Trustees of “Sofara” for Volunteering Work and Sustainable Development Mr. Hatem El-Rubi expressed the importance of the cooperation between “Enti El Aham” (You Are More Important) campaign and the Cairo Marathon.

Moreover, this cooperation reflects the effectiveness of the civil society's role in shedding the light on various issues, alongside supporting Egypt’s hearing-impaired women and enhancing the role of sports in their lives.

Regarding the “Benesmaa’ Baa’d” initiative, it targets not only supporting the hearing impaired women but also calls for respecting the other and respecting the needs of the other.

On her side, Gebreil revealed that she is pleased to be part of this marathon whose profit will be dedicated to hearing-impaired women.

She added that the culture of hearing the other and listening should be spread more in the society especially towards those who need to be heard.

The TV presenter greeted every woman and girl of determination who achieve their goals, on the other hand, she urged everyone to participate in the upcoming marathon to reflect how the Egyptian society is civilized.

Dr. Amr Hassan

On his side, Dr. Amr Hassan, the founder of “Enty El Aham” campaign, that the initiative is getting ready for launching the biggest sports event supporting hearing impaired women through dedicating the profits of the event to them.

The upcoming marathon will take place on 29 January and it will witness the participation of 100 participants from all over Egypt.

The three-stage marathon’s total length is almost 70 kilometers: 5 kilometers for the first, while the second’s length is 25 kilometers, and the final is 40 kilometers.
