La Liga Ambassadors Discuss Return of Competition during Coronavirus

La Liga’s football legends and current ambassadors held an online private press conference through the Zoom application on Wednesday, June the 3rd in which they discussed the restart of the world’s strongest league amid the current coronavirus tensions.

The list of legends who took part in the online press conference includes Uruguay’s Diego Forlan, England’s Steve Mcmanaman, Spain’s Luis Garcia, Mali’s Frederic Kanoute, France’s Christian Karembeu, Spain’s Gaizka Mendieta and Head of La La Liga’s Ambassador’s program, former Real Madrid player Fernando Sanz. The 11th of June will mark the return of the world's strongest football league and the fans will be pleased, He added.

Fernando Sanz, Head of La La Liga’s Ambassador’s program and international relations, stated that La Liga players are currently doing their best and training hard to be at their physical peak when the league returns.

The La Liga ambassadors discussed the return of the Spanish League and everyone showed their enthusiasm for the resumption of the championship that will start with an exciting Andalusian derby between Seville and Real Betis on Thursday 11 June.

Luis Garcia former Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool star, assured that the return of La Liga will be good news for everyone in light of the difficult atmosphere that they have been living in the house for about two and a half months and admitted that the tournament will, as a result, will not be the same because of the absence of the fans and will be affected as it will witness great changes in the nature of the matches as the fans are the ones who give football its magical taste.

Former Sevilla iconic goal scorer Fredric Kanoute remarked: "We are all excited for the return of the strongest football league in the La Liga, and I encourage the African fans to follow the championship that will return this month, and we expect the TV transmission to be exciting to make up for the absence of the fans, and I hope that everyone will enjoy it."

The former Real Madrid star, who was dubbed as England's greatest export Steve McKeemannman talked about the return of La Liga and said: Everyone is trying to be physically ready and the coaches will be looking to implement the best out of their squad in the remaining matches and it will be important for everyone to be in good shape in anticipation of injuries.

"The German Football League is back and now it's La Liga's turn, and it is very important to say to the fans, thank you for your patience and we have to remain optimistic and the Seville and Betis match will be a great opportunity to return," he added.

Regarding the absence of the crowd, he said: "The most important thing now is to preserve the health of everyone, and I hope we can return to the new season in September or October with better opportunities."

Diego Forlan, former Villareal and Athletico Madrid star stated the return of La Liga will be strong and will not be like the start of a season, because not only is the battle for the top places at its the pinnacle but also the battle against relegation is just as strong. He continued, "As a fan, I am very happy to watch the matches live broadcast long after watching the replays, and they will be exciting and enjoyable and will add joy to our quarantine time.

Former Valencia Mendieta expressed his happiness for La Liga's return and said: "La Liga is the best in the world and includes big players and is a giant industry and a registered trademark globally, and the period of suspension of the championship was difficult for everyone around the world and now La Liga is back and the fans have to enjoy especially because it will return with strong matches."
