Media reports in Kuwait revealed that a Brotherhood group who were handed over to Egypt did have contacts with Turkey and Qatar.
The ministry of Interior in the gulf country announced on Friday that a group of 8 people, affiliated to Muslim Brotherhood, who are wanted in Egypt for legal prosecution, were arrested and handed over to Egyptian authorities.
"The group has links to the assassination of late General Prosecutor Hisham Barakat, in 2015," Al-Rai newspaper reported.
The group has confessed about links with militants and shouldered responsibility of terrorist crimes. They revealed that they held meetings in Turkey and Qatar but also in Kuwait.
The newspaper hinted that Egyptian authorities are still searching for five other terrorists at large.
