His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden visited Expo 2020 on the 15th – 16th of December. The King went to see five pavilions: the United States of America, Germany, South Korea, India, and Egypt. Egypt was the only Arab and African country His Majesty visited during his tour.

The King came to Dubai to celebrate Sweden’s National Day at Expo in the Swedish Pavilion. The Swedish Day highlighted Sweden’s achievements, values, and world-leading innovations.

The Swedish Minister for Foreign Trade, Ms. Anna Hallberg, a trade delegation of two hundred people, and several CEOs and chairpersons from Swedish companies attended the celebration of the Swedish National Day at Expo.

The aim was to promote Sweden as a leading innovative and competitive country, providing solutions needed for a green transition and a more sustainable society. This is also the essence of the Swedish Pavilion, "The Forest".

Throughout Sweden, a green industrial revolution is underway. At Expo 2020, we are showing the world how far Swedish companies have come in terms of sustainability and innovation – and that Sweden is open for co-creation and collaboration, says Anna Hallberg, the Minister.
