King Mohamed of Morocco VI Contracts Coronavirus

The Morrocan Royal Court announced on Thursday that King Mohamed VI contracted Coronavirus, the statement added that the King doesn't suffer from any symptoms. The Royal medical staff asked the King to have rest for some days.

Regarding the situation of the pandemic in Morroco, the country reported new 1568 cases, no deaths, and 904 recovered according to the statement released by the health authorities on Thursday.

The total recorded cases in the country since the beginning of the pandemic reached 1,181,042, and 16085 deaths.

In the same context, the number of people who received the first shot of the Coronavirus vaccine reached 24,846,230, while the number of fully vaccinated persons hit 23,329,496.

6,500,439 persons received the third and booster shots.

Johns Hopkins University announced on Sunday that more than 535 million people were infected with Coronavirus worldwide.

According to the university, the total cases reached 535 million and 63 thousand ones.

The total number of deaths rose to 6 million and 309 thousand.

In the same context, two mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines produced by the Chinese drugmaker CanSino Biologics showed efficiency against the virus during the earliest clinical trials, Xinhua cited a study on Sunday.

The earliest results showed that both vaccines can enhance the performance of the human’s immunity against the Coronavirus’ various variants, including Omicron and its subvariants.

The two-doses vaccines were approved for the first phase of the clinical trials in April.
