A source close to Fahmy revealed that he had a pulmonary embolism, which occurs when a blood clot develops in a blood vessel in the body. It then travels to a lung artery where it suddenly blocks blood flow.

The insider noted that the actor received the appropriate first aid, adding that his condition is almost stable, and is currently in intensive care.

The source continued that Fahmy is conducting tests inside the hospital, pointing out that some doctors suspect that the cause for Karim's stroke is complications from contracting the coronavirus, but the cause has not been determined yet.

On the other hand, Fahmy‘s new film “Dedo” will get the sequel treatment.

The sequel will feature the original cast, which also includes Bayoumi Fouad, Hamdy Marghany, Huda El Mufti, Ahmed Fathi, Mohamed Tharwat, Noor Kadry, and others.

The comedy film was produced by Ahmed El Sobky and helmed by Amr Salah from a script by Fahmy.

The plot centers around Dedo, a young man who along with his friends, decides to rob a wealthy scientist, who later discovers their evil plan and shrinks them into fingertips sizes through one of his science experiments.
