Kaldas..Egyptian Known as Iron Man in Australia

 Naguib “Nick” Kaldas, an Egyptian born In Asyut  governorate in Egypt, had an honorable successful journey over 35 years he spent in Australia.

First of all, he joined  the Police Academy in Australia and then became the former deputy commissioner of the New South Wales Police Force.

Moreover, he was the deputy minister of interior of the state of New South Wales and was a model of persistence and self-fulfillment.

Kaldas was known as the “Iron Man” at the Australian police and he has always been chosen to perform hard missions; which reflects his professionalism and dedication.

He worked on the terrorist attack that took place in March and left 51 people dead at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand

He was the investigation commander for the most dangerous criminal case in the Middle East; the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri and 21 others.

After the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime,he was appointed  as deputy chief police adviser to the coalition forces in Iraq in order to rebuild the Iraqi police between 2004 and 2005.

In 2016, Kaldas was appointed the investigation commander at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in Syria; which is affiliated to the United Nations (UN).

over 35 years he spent in Australia.

Now, he is a commissioner at the Commission for International Justice and Accountability (CIJA) to gather evidence about war crimes due to the current conflicts in Syria and Iraq.
