Jordanian college student, Iman Irsheed, died after being shot five times on the campus by an unknown man, media outlets reported on Thursday.
Sources revealed that the man, about 24 years old, was not a university student, adding that he was wearing a hat that covered his head. He fired five bullets at the girl, one in the head and four in the body.
The security men tried to catch him but he fired into the air and managed to escape.
Iman, who is studying at the University of Applied Sciences, was walking along with her friend after finishing the exam when the man shot her till she fell dead, according to the sources.
Eyewitnesses claimed that the 24-year-old guy killed Iman cause she turned down his proposal and did not want to be emotionally attached to him.

In the same vein, the university issued an official statement, in which it pledges to prosecute the person who caused this painful incident until he receives just punishment for the heinous crime.

The incident came just days after an Egyptian student at Mansoura University killed his female colleague, Naiera Ashraf, in broad daylight in front of the university gates for refusing his marriage proposal. The girl was stabbed with a knife several times before her killer was handed to the police.
