Jordan Qualifies to Last 16 after Defeating Syria… While Bahrain Loses to Thailand

CAIRO, Jan.10 (SEE)- Jordan qualified for the last 16 round of the Asian Nations Cup taking place in the UAE after their 2-0 victory over Syria.

Jordan took the lead in the 26th minute through Mousa Al-Tamiri, before Tariq Khattab boosted his team's lead with a second goal in the 43rd minute.

The Jordanians won their first game against Australia to score 6 points now, while the of Syria only has one point after their draw against the Palestine.

On the other hand, Thailand defeated Bahrain 1-0 on Thursday in the second round of Group A, at the Al Maktoum Stadium. Chanathip Sungkrasen scored the winner for Thailand in the 59th minute

Thailand won their first three points in the tournament, finishing second in Group A, while Bahrain ended at one point in fourth place.
