Dozens of Jewish settlers, supported by the Israeli occupation forces, stormed today, Sunday the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Sources said that 97  settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa, and carried out provocative tours.

Earlier, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the violations committed by Israeli extremists protected by the Israeli forces against Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed Egypt’s rejection of these violations, stressing that Egypt has always warned against harming Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He also indicated that a mosque is a place of worship for Muslims; hence, the Israeli authorities are responsible for protecting worshipers in order to maintain security and stability and refraining from everything that contributes to creating any tension or action that leads to escalation.
