Palestinian Football Association Jibril Rajoub announced the Faisal Al-Husseini Stadium in Jerusalem (Al-Quds) will host the opening game of the Round 3 of AFC World Cup qualifiers for the Palestinian national team.
Al-Fida’i qualified for the Round 3 for the first time, and the opening game of the round will take place on September 5.
Rajoub thanked FIFA President Gianni Infantino for his support, revealing that Infantino attended Palestine's game against Lebanon on June 6.
He added: “The first game will be played on September 5th, in Jerusalem and President Infantino said he wants to attend."
The Palestinian national team secured a place in the final of the AFC Asian Cup 2027.
