UK Trade Envoy in Cairo to Boost Investments

UK Embassy in Egypt announced on Sunday, that the UK Trade Envoy Sir Jeffrey Donaldson, arrived on a two-day visit during which he meets a number of Egyptian officials in the fields of health care, education, finance in a bid to increase British investments to Egypt.

Donaldson is accompanied during the visit by a delegation of officials at British companies operating in the sectors of finance, technology, education and health, according to British Embassy statement.

The visit aims to enhance London Stock Exchange’s ability to compete in the global capital market within the framework of the Inspire Africa program. In addition, a workshop will be held and a number of Egyptian companies will attend.

Noteworthy, the trade between the two countries reached 1.9 billion dollars in 2018, and the Egyptian exports reached $ 818 million; 26% higher than the level of 2017.
