The Ministry of Education in Japan revealed that students in primary and preparatory schools suffered from rocketing rates in low vision over the school year of 2020.

A health survey conducted by the ministry showed that children suffered from excessive obesity during the last year until March 2021.

The survey proved that obesity was related to the Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19) in addition to other negative consequences resulting from the disease.

According to the Japan Time, a daily newspaper in Japan, the ministry has gathered these statistics by using samples based on nationwide medical examinations of children and teenagers at ages ranging from 5 to 17 years.

In this regard, Takashi Eto, Honorary Professor at Tokyo University, indicated that these changes in the health of the children and teenagers are due to changes in the environment of the sample members.

He affirmed that the government must take more care to handle the futuristic trends of the health of the children in the country.

The Ministry of Education in Japan has started a new survey to spot the percentage of spreading of short-sight among the student of the elementary and preparatory schools across the country this school year.

The ministry plans to take suitable measurements to stop problems of deteriorating sight of the new generation.

Last Thursday,   the Japanese Radio network ( NHK) said that  5400 new infections with COVID-19 were registered in the country.

The network made clear that 1979 cases were registered in Tokyo alone as the figure of infection in the capital rose to 195 thousand.

Also, rates of infections rose significantly in areas surrounding the capital.

However, Japan has reported more than 850 thousand confirmed cases of infection with the deadly virus.
