JAC to Release Electric Vehicles In Brazil

JAC is start selling the JAC iEV7S model in Brazil,  iEV7S has now been rebranded as the iEV40 and it is going to be imported from China into Brazil for consumer sales.

''JAC Brazil'' is a partnership between the SHC group and JAC and it has operated in Brazil for a number of years, but this is the first time it will sell an electric car in the Americas.

The new model will have the same acceleration (0–100 km/h in 11 seconds), battery pack size (40 kWh) and range (300 km, NEDC). It will be sold for 139,990 BRL ($35,385).

That price of 139,990 BRL will make it the cheapest electric vehicle in the Brazilian market. Adding the JAC iEV40, there are five electric vehicles that will be available in Brazil by the end of 2019.

In an attempt to gain prestige, improve competitiveness and open new sales channels abroad, Chinese automakers are investing in new design and engineering operations in Europe that could bolster their long-term prospects in the region and at home.

Noteworthy, JAC is a brand of Jianghuai Auto, established in 1964, produces and markets cars under the brand in China since 2002. the firm started a Joint Venture with Volkswagen in 2018 for the production of EVs under the Seat brand.

According to China Daily, china has built the world’s largest electronic vehicle charging infrastructure network, attracting capital from persified sources.

Also, by June this year, the number of EV charging piles used in China exceeded 1 million, according to data released by National Energy Administration’s China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance.
