Italy announced four deaths of rare blood clots after receiving AstraZeneca vaccine jabs, a recent report issued by the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) asserted late Thursday.

The report highlighted 11 cases of rare blood clotting, four of them died.

The Italian agency expressed that they are observed serious side effects in 0.5% of the total 9.07 million vaccine given shots.

Italy has suspended the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine last month amid blood clotting concerns.

In the same context, Denmark dropped it from the state's vaccination program, offering re-distributing its share to poorer countries.

However, the European Medicines Agency and the World Health Organization recommended using the vaccine to protect the people against the virus, especially, in the light of the third wave of Coronavirus.
