New clashes erupted today, Friday, between the Israeli police and Palestinian demonstrators today, Friday, in the courtyard of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, according to AFP.

Early on Friday morning, the Israeli police entered the mosque, where Palestinian youths threw stones at them, according to a journalist, who spoke of several injuries.

Palestinian sources added that the occupation forces wounded about 40 Palestinian civilians with rubber bullets, and prevented worshipers from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque by closing the Bethlehem checkpoint.
