Israeli occupation forces launched on Saturday a massive arrest campaign against 20 Palestinians in separate areas in the West Bank.
Noteworthy, the Arab Observatory for Human Rights (AOHR) strongly condemned Israel’s latest aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
It slammed it for targeting innocent civilians, claiming the lives of dozens of victims.
It held Israel responsible for the consequences of this “dangerous escalation against the Palestinian people.”
It denounced carrying out strikes “against civilian locations in blatant defiance of international law and violation of the United Nations Charter and international treaties.”
The AOHR called upon the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in halting this “aggression” and to provide international protection to the Palestinian people, further to the need for immediate action to stop violence, and to take all necessary measures to maintain a comprehensive calm and stop provocative and escalatory actions.
It noted that the international’s inaction over the Israeli occupation’s violations and the failure to hold it accountable for its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people encouraged the occupying forces and their various organs to persist in their crimes and to practice the most heinous violations against the Palestinian people.
The AOHR called on the occupying power to cease all forms of violations against human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, to respect the norms of international law and the principles of international humanitarian law, along with its international commitments and agreements.
