Israeli Delegation Visits Dubai

An Israeli delegation including heads of business, industry and investment sectors' organizations is visiting UAE's Dubai Monday upon an invitation from the Dubai Trade and Industry Union.

According to the Israeli channel i24, the visit aims to lay the foundation for a rapid development in the means of cooperation in the business and trade sector between Israel and the UAE.

The visit also aims to push the establishment of free trade activity with the Gulf countries, East Africa and South Asia, through the distinct commercial areas in the UAE.

The Israeli delegation includes the President of the Federation of Commerce Chambers, Attorney Ariel Lynn, President of the Federation of Industry Chambers, President of the Heads of Employers and Companies Ron Tomer, President of the Export Institute, who represents the development of trade relations by Israel, and the President of the Israeli Farmers Union.

Members of the delegation will meet with their Emirati counterparts, to learn about the central trade centers in Dubai, which will be available for the first time to Israeli businessmen.

According to the Israeli channel, the economic organizations in Israel estimate the volume of future trade between Israel and the UAE at billions of dollars annually, maybe more, and Israeli exports to the UAE will focus on advanced technology in areas such as cyber, medical equipment, agricultural technology, solar energy, water desalination, medicine and others. 

It is noteworthy that before the signing of the peace agreement between the 2 countries, there were informal commercial relations between Israel and the UAE through intermediary countries in Europe and the United States.

Dubai is considered a global trade center that attracts many foreign investments, after it was declared a free trade center.

It is noteworthy that Israel, the UAE and Bahrain signed two agreements in the White House to normalize their relations, on the fifteenth of last September, under the auspices of US President then, Donald Trump.
