Samarra Operations Command Major General Jabbar al-Darraji announced Saturday the death of 21 members from ISIS terrorist group, south of the Salah al-Din governorate in central Iraq.

Al-Darraji stated that 21 members from the ISIS group were killed, as a car bomb exploded at a checkpoint of the Federal Police at Al-Daur district.

The Major General stated that the driver pressed the sound alarm button in the car to bid farewell to his comrades, but he forgot that the button was linked to an explosive charge, which led to exploding the car along with the entire group.

Ten day ago, the Iraqi government held a funeral ceremony for the 104 Yazidis, who were victims of the terrorist organization “ISIS”, in Baghdad.

President of Iraq Barham Salih expressed his deep sadness over the victims on his official account on Twitter.

“A funeral ceremony is held for the Yazidi victims who were killed by the terrorist group, ISIS,” Salih wrote on Twitter. “They will be buried in the village of Kocho, which was the crime scene of the terrorist attack.”
