Infinix Releases Smart 5 with IPS Display

Infinix launched a new smartphone to its line-up after the addition of the Hot 9 series and the more recent Smart 4 Plus. The entry-level phone is built around a 6.6-inch IPS display and packs a triple camera setup alongside a 5,000 mAh battery.

The display has HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch for the 8MP selfie cam. There’s dual LED flash sensors on the front. Around the back, we find a 13MP primary camera paired with two QVGA sensors, an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor.

There’s 2 or 3 GB RAM and 32/64GB storage, which is further expandable via microSD. The 5,000 mAh battery supports 10W charging over micro USB. The Infinix Smart 5 will be available in blue, black and green colors.

The smartphone is listed on the global website of the company and it comes in Ice Blue, Midnight Black, and Quetzal Cyan colour options. The smartphone comes with a starting price tag of NGN 39,500 (roughly Rs. 7,800) but the company has not yet announced its availability details.

Later, Company announced Infinix on its two new phones Infinix Note 7 and Note 7 Lite. Note 7 Lite Both focus on cameras and batteries. It is the more intriguing of the two. It has a 6.95-inch 1640x720px LCD with a 16MP selfie camera punched-in.

Infinix Note 7 has a gargantuan 5,000mAh battery with acceptable 18W fast charging. Software-wise the Note 7 runs Infinix’ own X OS over Android 10.

According to Today News, there are 4 rear cameras, the main of which is 48-megapixel with f / 1.8 lens slot, the second with 2-megapixel camera for imaging near objects, the third with the same accuracy for recording depth, and the fourth for video recording in low-light conditions with f / 1.8 lens slot.

Noteworthy, the Android 10 coupled with XOS 6.0 UI runs on Note 7 and Note 7 Lite. There is support for gesture-based navigation on the Note 7 and it is equipped with stereo speakers.

Both phones support DTS Audio processing. Both smartphones are equipped with side-mounted fingerprint sensors. The predecessor Note 6 had featured an X Pen stylus.

It runs on a MediaTek Helio G70 chipset with octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

On other hand, the pricing and availability information of both the Note 7 and Note 7 Lite is not known yet, but we should know more information regarding the pricing in the coming days.
