Hulu's "How I Met Your Father" to Premiere Early 2022

It has been more than seven years since the premiere of the final season of "How I Met Your Mother".

The series featured Josh Radnor as Ted Mosby, Jason Segel as Marshall Eriksen, Cobie Smulders as Robin Scherbatsky, Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson, Cristin Milioti as The Mother/Tracy McConnell, and Alyson Hannigan as Lily Aldrin.

Hulu announced Wednesday the premiere date for "How I Met Your Father", the hotly anticipated spinoff of "How I Met Your Mother".

The 10-episode comedy series is set to premiere on January 18, 2022 on Hulu.

Hulu also shared a quick look at the spinoff cast, which stars Hilary Duff, Christopher Lowell, Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, and Suraj Sharma.

The series was announced in April and will also feature recurring stars such as Kim Cattrall, Daniel Augustin, Ashley Reyes, and Josh Peck.

The brief video showcased that the upcoming series design is keeping to the original standard.

"How I Met Your Father" is set in the future and is centered around Sophie (Duff) telling her son the story of how she met his father.

The tale takes the audience back to the year 2021, where Sophie and her close friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.

"How I Met Your Father"  is a production of 20th Television and is written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger.

Executive producers include Aptaker, Berger, Carter Bays, Craig Thomas, Pam Fryman, and Adam Londy. Duff will also serve as a producer.
