Former Al Ahly Captain Hossam Ghaly resigned from El-Gouna; he would leave the club after their upcoming Egyptian League clash against Haras El Hodoud.

Egyptian media reported during the last days that Ghaly has an intention to run for Al Ahly's upcoming election as a member of the board of directors'.

"I would like to thank Khaled Bashara and Nader Shawki on giving me such chance to work and a football director in El-Gouna for a year and a half," Hossam Ghaly said on his official Instagram page.

"An experience that I benefited from, learned a lot, worked hard, and tried. We exerted more efforts to achieve Khaled Bashar's dream to put El-Gouna in a special place," the 38-year-old former Tottenham star added.

"Haras El Hodoud's encounter will be my last match with the club. I wish good luck and success for the club in the upcoming period."

It is worth mentioning that El-Gouna face-off El Hodoud on Friday in the last round of the Egyptian League.
