Honor to Release New Version with 48MP Cam

Honor to unveil the Honor 30 Youth Edition on July in China which will likely hit global markets as the Honor 30 Lite. According to the tipster, the Honor 30 Lite will have the MediaTek MT6873 at the helm that's known as the Dimensity 800 SoC, meaning it will have 5G support. Honor 30 Lite will have a total of four cameras onboard - a 16MP selfie shooter and a 48MP main camera at the back joined by 8MP and 2MP modules which could be the ultrawide and macro/depth units, respectively.

Powering the entire package will be a 4,000 mAh battery which will charge at up to 22.W. These specs might remind you of the Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro that leaked a few days ago with the exact same specs, with the only exception being the weight - at 192 grams the Honor 30 Lite is 10 grams heavier than the Enjoy 20 Pro.

The design of the Honor 30 Lite is reminiscent of the Huawei Enjoy Z 5G's, which isn't surprising since the Honor 30 Lite specs that leaked earlier today also match the specs of the Enjoy Z 5G with the weight being the only exception. The Honor 30 Lite is 10 grams heavier than the Enjoy Z 5G.

Noteworthy, Honor unveiled Play 4T series in China, the Honor Play 4T Pro and the Play 4T both offer 48MP main cameras, ample (and expandable) storage, and 4,000mAh batteries.

Play 4T Pro has a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen of FHD+ resolution, with a fingerprint scanner underneath and a 16MP selfie camera inside a waterdrop notch at the top. The rear has a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide unit and a 2MP depth sensor.

According to News 24, Honor Play 4T Pro model 6.3 inches in size, offering FHD + resolution AMOLED with screen. On the notch on the screen 16MP It has a selfie camera.

Also, Honor launched the 20S last September and the company is expected to follow up with the 30S soon. Honor hasn’t officially pulged any details of the 30S yet, but a render of the smartphone has leaked on Chinese social network Weibo, showing the back of the phone housing a rectangular camera bump, according to gsmarena. Honor 30S is rumored to pack the Kirin 820 SoC, which is rumored to power the yet to be announced Honor 10X as well. Given the mid-range nature of the phone it probably has slim chances of getting the 5G-capable Kirin 990, so it would need a whole new solution such as the 820.

Huawei officially unveiled its second generation folding smartphone in early 2020, and it features much of the same design and hardware capabilities of the original Mate X.
